The weekend kicks off with the 13th Annual Alpine Wine Festival at Raven Lodge on Friday, August 26. From 6-9pm guests will enjoy wine from various vineyards, salmon and cheese appetizers, a raw oyster bar, silent auction, live music from the Melissa Hill Jazz Quartet and a fabulous BBQ.There will be a free shuttle to the event leaving at 5:15pm from the Driftwood Mall in Courtenay. *Shuttle space is limited and priority will be given to those with pre purchased tickets. Shuttle will return guests after event.
Enjoy cooking demonstrations and a wine pairing dinner on Saturday, August 27 at the Alpine Lodge. Chef's will demonstrate cooking techniques and recipes using local ingredients with wine pairing suggestions. Cooking demonstrations are scheduled at 12:00pm, 1:30pm and 3:00pm and cost just $15. Samples will be provided.

The wine pairing dinner at 6pm in the Alpine Lodge will also feature local ingredients in a 5-6 course meal with presentation by a sommelier. Tickets are $100 and include a scenic chairlift ride to be enjoyed prior to dinner.
