10:00 am: 5th Street Mile Run - starts at Woods Avenue.
10:30 am: The Grande Parade down 5th Street to Lewis Park
12 noon - 4 pm: Open House at Courtenay & District Museum
11 am - 11 pm: Open House at the Courtenay Legion on Cliffe Avenue
2 - 4 pm: Native Sons Hall Tea Dance with the Georgia Straight Big Band hosted by the Canadaian Daughters who will be serving birthday cake and tea and coffee.
7 - 9 pm: Celebrate Canada Concert, Sid Williams Theatre

3pm Ladies Nail Driving Competition, sponsored by Home Depot. This historical event held from early logging day festivities celebrated on Canada Days in the 1920's is not to be missed. All women are encouraged to take part from mom's to grannys for great prizes.
4pm Battle of Bands winners on Stage

7pm Celebrate Canada Concert - Canada Day in Courtenay ends each year with a 2 1/2 hour production directed and produced by Marlene Oloo. The concert is free to all but space is limited and a capacity crowd is expected for this free variety show.
