There's something new brewing in the hills of Cumberland and this time it's almost legal. It’s a local film festival where amateur film makers are invited to submit short films shot in BC. All proceeds go to Cumberland Community Forest Society www.cumberlandforest.com, a charitable society dedicated to the purchase of local forests for recreational and aesthetic purposes. Last year the event was sold out well in advance and the films came in all sorts and sizes, from crisply edited paddling films to wild antics on snowboards and snowmobiles. There will also be a silent auction! Film submissions and silent auction donations are still being accepted at cumberlandmountainfilmfest@gmail.com

This was an awesome event last year, lots of creative and inspiring work done by those from the area. Best part was the speakers were there to introduce and comment on their adventures! I'll be sure to go again!
