Description
Puntledge park provides great river access in Courtenay as well as a variety of easy and beautifully forrested trails.
Directions
Leave downtown Courtenay heading away from the 5th street bridge. Turn right at Menzies and you'll find Puntledge Park at the bottom of the hill on the right side.
You can get on the trails at Puntledge park and follow them upstream along the river until you get to Robert Lang Drive. If you walk for 5 minutes along Robert Lang and turn right at Rod and Gun Road, you can get back on the rest of the trail and continue upstream toward the fish hatchery.
Difficulty
The trails in puntledge park are introductory.
Length
The section between Puntledge Park and Robert Lang will only take about 10-15 minutes to walk. Continung on from Rod and Gun Road to the hatchery will add another ~30 minutes.
