Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS)

MARS has been located in Merville since 1995 and we are devoted to rescuing birds and small mammals that have been orphaned, injured or oiled. Our facility isn't open to the public, though group tours can be arranged, but the wildlife can't be viewed. The best way to learn about us is to check out where we'll be during the spring, summer and fall at the community events that we attend. You can often find one of our ambassador birds and a handler out and about on the weekend. Or, groups can book a presentation with Sandy, Maj or Reg and one of our three ambassadors to come and visit you!

One of the greatest things about the Comox Valley is the wildlife and we're working constantly to help preserve it through caring for animals, when necessary, and educating people about how to protect their habitat.
