Wildlife i.e. deer, bear, a number of different birds, water fowl, butterflies, and of course our seals, sea lions and purple star fish and rock crabs etc. Even though the city is encroaching on nature and homes are being built all around, we still have an amazing array of animals who come and visit.
This morning we woke up to some loud pecking - following the sound we observed a pileated woodpecker having breakfast on one of our "garden art" stumps. It simply makes your day start the "right" way when you can host a woodpecker looking for some scrumptious bugs!
Comox Valley is generous in offering these sights and experiences. Most visitors leave with oohs! and aahs! and are enriched by nature sharing its sights.
