I moved away from the Valley about 6 years ago now and every summer I return and fall in love with the Valley even more. I love how the city is not decentralized as it take only minutes in either direction to find a serene piece of forest with unpaved walking trails, rivers loaded with swimming holes, beaches with fire pits to enjoy a potlach with friends and family while listening to the local drumming group gather, hiking trails galore, an amazing marina with a panaramic view of Mount Washington which had the most snow fall last year, and last but not least the amazing restaurants that are not chains scattered in every corner of the city. In saying that, I am moving my young family back to the Valley this August so they too can enjoy all the beauty that is the Comox Valley.
