An unexpected visitor

I was driving home from my office in Willow Point today, when I see a large number of vehicles parked along the side of the highway. My curiosity urged me to stop and find out what it was. I'm very glad I did as I saw my first humpback whale. It was a lone whale, feeding about 50 feet away from the shoreline. Some people around me were estimating it to be as big as 40 feet long! Unfortunately, because I was on my way home from work, I was not prepared with a camera to capture our magnificent ocean neighbour. Lessons learned - 1. stop when there are a lot of parked cars along the beach; 2. always carry a camera with you, you never know what you're going to see.
